Termoli


A strong place branding to enhance the city's attractiveness. 

Brief

The city of Termoli launches an international rebranding competition to renew its visual identity.

This project aims to strengthen its cultural, tourist, and economic influence by highlighting its historical roots and contemporary dynamism. 

As part of its bid for the title of Italian Capital of Contemporary Art 2027, Termoli wishes to embody a bold vision, open and deeply rooted in its territory.


Recommendation

The proposal is based on a custom-designed typography, born from the architectural vanishing lines of Borgo Antico and the natural curves of the Adriatic coastline. It embodies both the welcoming, openness, and creative energy of the city. 

The color palette is directly inspired by the landscape: the deep blue of the Adriatic, the warm honey of the facades, the sunny oranges of the sky at sunset. The "M" symbol, derived from the logotype, becomes a strong visual marker, capable of standing alone or within a system.

Finally, the tone of voice relies on sensory verbs and active formulas so that each interaction with the brand is a sensory experience.
