Hameau Albert Ier

DEVELOPING A BESPOKE TYPOGRAPHIC IDENTITY FOR AN ICONIC ALPINE HOUSE.
Brief Hameau Albert 1er is a historic five-star hospitality destination in Chamonix, bringing together a luxury hotel, a gastronomic restaurant, a country-style dining venue, a bar, meeting spaces, and a wellness area. The challenge was to create a complete visual identity capable of unifying these different experiences under one coherent brand system, while preserving the singular character of each space. The identity needed to reflect the house’s heritage, refinement, and Alpine setting, while introducing a more contemporary and distinctive visual language across print, signage, and digital communication.

RecommendationThe visual identity was developed from a bespoke typeface created specifically for the project. Designed as more than a typographic signature, it became the structural basis of the whole brand system: its forms were used to shape logotypes, derive graphic symbols, and create a coherent visual vocabulary across the different entities of the destination.
This custom design approach brings distinction, consistency, and versatility to the identity. Supported by cold, sophisticated colour harmonies and refined layouts, the system translates the heritage of the house into a bold and contemporary visual language.
